This was a costume and prop project combining jewellery making, metal work, casting, dyeing clothes and leather work. I made the jewellery, dress, cloak, dagger and sword. My aim was to fully realise the Celtic queen. Costume Modelled by Anastsia Louka
Details and Sketchbook
Here you can see the woven detailing on the dress and the embroidery on her sword holster. I wanted to stay as true to history whilst adding a mildly fantastical element to her costume. For example all the beads I used whist embellishing her dress, waist tie and belt adornment are glass, wood or stone, as they would have been but I haven’t restricted myself to only use the materials she would have had available.
